New logo, new color scheme, same layout... just a fresh paint-job. FYI, color schema / layout does not affect individual page / entry build or update dates. The afore-mentioned only applies to content modifications. Email has followed in thematic suit, also the blog. Heavy content updates / additions in the next few days. The light is in sight, so to speak.
Considering --considering-- brining life back into ftp. As the host list grows, the list of those one can trust with SSH access (even in a chroot jail) becomes thinner. Anyone with experience running a reliable ftp server / daemon with TLS-SSL 'handshake' encryption (open data, encrypted username & password), give a shout (see 'Contact - Email'). Ran into several issues with client compatability (namely, 'something ain't right' if there exists incompatability with FileZilla Client 2.x or greater).

Ten days, a small fortune, and some coding later, the first 'stable build' version of the SC Server Project is up and running, full steam.

On a side note, the em-2820 (for that matter 28** series) DV capture chipsets, shunted through USB 1.1/2* ports, do not necessarily jive with the latest Linux Kernel, v4l(2), or anything else for that matter. In short, while $20 for a capture device may seem like a no brainer (if it doesn't work, throw it out), you'll still end up throwing out $20 - as I have. In the mean time, the trusty Philips saa7134 (on an Asus PCI 2.2 card) pushes on.
